The rustic bear design
Winter is written across the top in a loose forest green script with a long tail, and below it a bold, chunky ONE runs straight into derland in the same green script. The lettering has a faint tan shadow that gives it the look of paint on wood. In the middle, a black watercolor bear walks to the right between two pairs of crossed arrows, and tall watercolor pine trees in deep and light greens frame the whole design on both sides.
On the birthday boy's bodysuit or tee, Birthday Boy finishes the design in green script. Everyone else gets Birthday Boy's with a title underneath in big rounded green capitals, set between two more little pines, so the shirts read Birthday Boy's MAMA, Birthday Boy's DADDY or Birthday Boy's BROTHER. The look is cozy and outdoorsy, made for a winter baby who loves bears.
Many families keep the birthday bodysuit with a pinecone or wood slice from the party, and the grown-ups wear their tees again on cabin trips and Christmas tree farm outings.

Planning a woodland Winter Onederland party
A rustic bear Winter Onederland is a woodland party with snow on the ground. Pull the colors from the shirts: forest green, black, cream and natural wood, with a little red plaid for warmth. Mini pine trees in burlap, a garland of greenery along the cake table, wood slice chargers and lanterns with battery candles turn a living room into a winter cabin. A small bear figure or a stuffed bear on the cake table ties it all back to the shirts.
On the menu, a naked cake with sugared rosemary and powdered sugar snow, a smash cake with a little bear topper, s'mores, trail mix and hot chocolate with marshmallows all fit. Pinecone-shaped cookies or bear paw cupcakes are fun extras that guests remember. For the kids, a craft table with paper bear masks and a basket of pinecones to paint keeps little hands busy, and a small tent with a lantern inside makes a cozy reading nook.
For photos, set up near the cake table with the trees and greenery behind it. When the decorations share the deep green of the shirts, every family picture from that corner looks like a winter forest.
Dressing the family for his party
The parents can wear their named tees with jeans and boots, and a plaid flannel worn open on top keeps them warm while showing the design. Grandparents look cozy with a cardigan, and the big kids in joggers or leggings. For the cake smash, the birthday boy is cutest in his bodysuit with plaid shorts and a beanie; little overalls over the baby tee work for the rest of the day.
Ask guests to wear green, red plaid, cream or neutrals, and the whole party will look like a trip to the mountains. If you take photos outside in the snow, put the birthday boy in a cream knit hat and let the parents hold him between them, so the bear and pines on all three shirts line up.
Picking sizes
Each shirt's last photo is a chart of measurements in inches. Adult tees are relaxed and unisex: wear your usual size for an easy fit, choose one smaller for a closer fit or one bigger to layer over a thermal. A one-year-old most often wears 12 or 18 months, so hold a bodysuit he wears now against the chart, and pick the larger size if he is in between.
Ordering for a big family
The whole family's shirts can go into one cart. Add one, switch the name and size for the next person, and keep going. Family savings apply to all apparel in your cart, and checkout takes them off automatically.
Every shirt is printed to order over 2 to 5 business days. Standard ground shipping then needs about 3 to 5 business days. Two weeks ahead of the party is a good time to place the order. Need them by a certain date? Send a request and we'll try to help.
Our Winter Onederland birthday shirts hold the other snowy designs, and the full set of birthday family shirts covers every theme we make.
