The little cutie clementine design
Three lines of chunky retro serif letters stack on top of each other, and each line is a shade lighter than the one above. The top line is the deepest burnt orange, the middle word little is a soft tangerine, and cutie, the biggest word on the shirt, is a pale peach that reads almost like cream. The effect is an ombre that looks like the inside of a clementine.
To the right of little hangs one round watercolor clementine, painted with a speckled, sunlit peel, two or three green leaves and a short twisting stem. It sits just above the dot of the i in cutie, so the fruit and the lettering feel like one drawing.
On the birthday baby's own shirt, the top line is i'm the, also in burnt orange, so it reads i'm the little cutie. Everyone else's shirt starts with a title and then of the, so the grown-ups read mama of the little cutie, daddy of the little cutie or pop pop of the little cutie, while an older sibling's says sister of the little cutie or brother of the little cutie. There is no age or number on the design, which is why families also wear it to a baby shower.

Planning a clementine first birthday
