The Little Boo design
The words stack down the middle of the shirt. this Little is written small in a slanted black script, BOO comes next in tall, chunky hand-lettered capitals, is turning drops back to script, and TWO fills the bottom in the same bold capitals as BOO. Around them float a handful of little white ghosts with pink cheeks and wide eyes, plump pink and orange watercolor pumpkins, pieces of candy corn, flying bats, black stars and a cobweb with a cute spider hanging below.
The birthday girl's shirt reads this Little BOO is turning TWO. Family shirts open with a title in large black capitals, followed by of the Little in script and the rest of the words, so Mom's begins with MAMA, Dad's with DADDY and big sister's with SISTER.
A second birthday near Halloween means a costume, a pumpkin bucket and a birthday cake all in one month, and at two she is old enough to love every bit of it. These shirts tie the two celebrations together and come back out for trick-or-treating, the pumpkin patch and the family Halloween photo.

Planning a Little Boo second birthday
A Little Boo party is Halloween at its cutest, perfect for two-year-olds who are thrilled by pumpkins but not ready for anything scary. Keep the palette from the shirts: black, white, soft pink and pumpkin orange. Hang ghost balloons and paper bats, group pink and orange pumpkins on the floor around the cake table, and add a banner that says Little Boo is Two. A cheesecloth ghost draped over a lamp makes a friendly glow.
For the menu, try a white cake with black and orange sprinkles and a tiny ghost topper, ghost-shaped sandwiches, banana ghosts with chocolate chip eyes, clementine pumpkins and apple cider. Treat bags with stickers and a few candies make easy favors. A little ghost craft, white paper plates with googly eyes and pink cheeks, keeps the older kids happy while the two-year-olds nap or play, and the finished ghosts can hang on the wall as decorations for the rest of the party.
Toddlers love a simple costume parade around the living room, a pumpkin decorating station with stickers instead of knives, and a game of find the hidden ghost. If the party is on or near Halloween night, finish with a short trick-or-treat walk in the matching shirts. A pumpkin patch visit the weekend before makes a sweet photo session too: everyone in their Little Boo shirts, the birthday girl choosing her own tiny pumpkin.
What the family wears
Grown-ups can wear their titled shirts with jeans and a black cardigan, or layer a flannel over the top on a chilly evening. Big kids can wear theirs under costumes. The birthday girl looks adorable in her toddler tee with an orange or black tutu, striped tights and a little bow, and she can keep it on under her costume later.
Asking guests to wear black, orange or pink keeps the photos festive, and costumes are always welcome at a Halloween birthday. Keep a basket of extra masks and capes by the door for guests who forget, so nobody misses the costume parade.
Sizing tips
The final photo on each shirt shows a size chart in inches. Grown-up tees are cut loose and unisex; most people stay with their regular size and size up only for a roomier look. For the birthday girl, most two-year-olds wear 2T; a petite girl may still fit the 24 month baby sizes. Compare a shirt that fits her now before choosing.
